Warmup is the next step before you scale sending.

The best email warmup tool builds reputation through real engagement, shows you placement data beyond a health score, and fits your mailbox count and budget. We compared seven tools on those criteria, and E-Warmup ranks first.

Key Takeaways

  • Warmup tools differ most on how they build reputation, what they let you measure, and what each mailbox really costs.
  • Instantly and Smartlead bundle warmup into sending platforms. The other five are dedicated warmup tools.
  • Entry prices as listed in October 2026 run from $15 to $69 a month. E-Warmup also has a Free Forever plan.
  • Ask any vendor four questions before you connect a domain. They are in the section on how warmup networks work.

Most warmup pages look alike. The differences show up in how the network is built, what you can measure and what each mailbox really costs.

How We Ranked the Best Email Warmup Tools

We compared seven tools on method and network, placement visibility, blacklist checks, control over settings, and price. Everything comes from public pricing pages and help centers checked in October 2026. We did not run new placement tests.

We make E-Warmup, so read the order with that in mind.

The Ranked List: Seven Email Warmup Tools, Best Fit First

1. E-Warmup

E-Warmup is a dedicated warmup tool built around a network of 40,000+ real inboxes. It connects through OAuth or SMTP and IMAP, so it runs beside any sender and does not send campaigns.

A Free Forever plan covers 1 mailbox. Basic is $49 for 5 mailboxes, Growth is $99 for 20, and Premium is $189 for 40. Bring your own email templates start from Basic, AI Read Emulation on Growth, and domain-level blacklist monitoring and delisting on Basic.

For Klaviyo, Mailchimp and other platforms with no mailbox to connect, Seed List Warmup works from a CSV upload. New paid subscriptions carry a 14-day money-back guarantee.

Best for: teams with several mailboxes that want placement tests on every plan and blacklist monitoring from Basic.

Watch out: it is a warmup layer, so you still need a sending platform.

2. Warmup Inbox

Warmup Inbox is a dedicated tool with a clear ladder. Its pricing page lists Basic at $15 per inbox a month (75 messages a day), Pro at $49 (250 a day) and Max at $79 (1,000 a day).

Custom templates and topics start on Pro. It claims 30,000+ real inboxes and offers 7 days of free access with no card.

Best for: small teams that want a low entry price.

Watch out: control features start at $49, and prices are per inbox.

3. MailReach

MailReach pairs warmup with spam testing. Its pricing page lists the all-in-one plan at $19.50 per mailbox per month, with up to 100 emails a day and an AI warming algorithm across multiple providers.

It includes blacklist, SPF, DKIM and DMARC checks plus spam test credits, but no free plan.

Best for: teams that care about spam testing and want checks bundled in.

Watch out: cost per mailbox grows quickly past a handful of inboxes.

4. Warmy

Warmy is a dedicated warmup tool. Its pricing page lists B2B Sender and B2C Sender plans from $49 a month, and claims a network of more than 1 million mailboxes.

Plans include reputation tracking, Google Postmaster data and DMARC monitoring, with 7 days of free access.

Best for: senders who want a managed service.

Watch out: the pricing page gives no mailbox counts or send limits.

5. Smartlead

Smartlead also bundles warmup into outreach. Its help center describes a warmup pool, and its Smart-Adjust algorithm randomises volume.

It documents bounce protection and an on-demand Blacklist Check Tool. Its pricing page lists Base at $39, Pro at $94 and Unlimited Smart at $174 a month.

Best for: outbound teams that want volume controls inside the sender.

Watch out: the page is unclear on which plans include warmup.

6. Instantly

Instantly bundles warmup into its sending platform. Its pricing page lists “Unlimited Email Warmup” on the Growth plan at $47 a month on the monthly view, and on Hypergrowth at $97.

Its health score is warmup emails that reached the inbox divided by total warmup emails over a rolling 7 days, so it reflects warmup placement only.

Best for: teams already sending from Instantly who want a basic ramp.

Watch out: the score does not measure campaign placement.

7. Mailwarm

Mailwarm is a dedicated warmup tool that cites 50,000+ aged real inboxes and needs no IMAP access. Its pricing page lists Starter at $69 a month (1 mailbox, up to 50 warmup emails a day), Growth at $159 (3 mailboxes, up to 200 a day) and Scale at $479 (10 mailboxes, up to 500 a day), all billed annually.

Plans include spam score monitoring, provider-level warmup and authentication fix tools, plus expert calls on every tier. A Tailored plan is custom priced, and no free plan is listed.

The catch is cost per mailbox. Growth works out to $53 for each of 3 mailboxes, while E-Warmup Basic is $9.80 for each of 5. The full math is in the price section below.

Best for: teams that want expert calls built into the plan.

Watch out: cost per mailbox is high, and listed prices are for annual billing.

Pool-Based vs Real-Inbox Warmup: Four Questions to Ask

In September 2026, Validity launched its Heatwave blocklist. Validity’s press release says it lists domains showing patterns of unethical warming, such as networks of fake accounts generating messages, opens, clicks and replies. Anyone can check a domain at the Heatwave lookup.

Two things are still open. Validity has not published a false-positive rate, and stopping warmup does not clear a listing. Postbox reports that removal needs a manual review request, typically decided in two to five business days.

That puts a spotlight on how a network is built. A controlled pool runs accounts the vendor owns, while a real-inbox network uses accounts in active use. No vendor can promise how a blocklist will treat its network, so ask these four questions before you connect a domain.

Question for the vendorWhy it matters
Who controls the inboxes in the network?Controlled accounts are what Heatwave describes
Is engagement scripted or from real accounts in use?Scripted patterns are easier to detect
Do I see placement results, not only a health score?A score covers warmup mail, not your campaigns
What happens to my domain if I leave?A listing can outlast the tool

A warmup health score can read high while campaign mail lands in spam. We explain why in your outreach tool’s warmup isn’t warming anything up.

What Makes E-Warmup the Best Email Warmup Tool

Here are the four features behind our ranking, then the price math.

The Deliverability Agent Tells You What to Fix

Most dashboards hand you a score and leave the diagnosis to you. The Deliverability Agent lives under Warmup Activity for each mailbox, on every plan. It shows what is going on, what is wrong and what to fix on the domain, so you see the next step instead of guessing.

AI Read Emulation Reads the Mail

AI Read Emulation, available from the Growth plan, reads the content of each warmup email instead of only flagging it as read. Instantly also documents a Read Emulation setting, so compare how each tool describes its own version.

Seed List Warmup Needs No Mailbox Login

Most warmup tools connect through OAuth or SMTP and IMAP. Seed List Warmup does not. You upload a CSV and warm the sending domain behind Klaviyo, Mailchimp or similar platforms.

Credits are one-time and never expire: $19 for 200, $37 for 600 and $55 for 1,000.

Free Forever for One Mailbox

The Free Forever plan covers 1 mailbox with 10 warmup emails a day, 5 inbox placement tests and 5 DNS tests a month, no card required. Warmup Inbox and Warmy offer 7 days of free access, while Free Forever has no time limit.

The Price Math: What a Mailbox Really Costs

Mailwarm, entry 7 above, prices by plan tier with a fixed number of mailboxes. E-Warmup prices per mailbox with volume built in. Here is the same math side by side.

Mailwarm StarterE-Warmup BasicMailwarm GrowthE-Warmup Growth
Monthly price$69 (annual billing)$49$159 (annual billing)$99
Mailboxes included15320
Cost per mailbox$69$9.80$53$4.95
Daily volume as listedUp to 50150 per mailboxUp to 200300 per mailbox

On those numbers, E-Warmup Basic costs about 7 times less per mailbox than Mailwarm Starter. E-Warmup Growth costs about 11 times less per mailbox than Mailwarm Growth.

Mailwarm’s prices are billed annually and E-Warmup’s are monthly, so the comparison favors Mailwarm if anything. Mailwarm’s plans also include expert calls and extra users, which this math does not price.

How to Pick the Best Email Warmup Software for Your Team Size

Cost per mailbox changes the answer faster than any feature. Here is the math at two common sizes.

Your setupCost on listed plansVolume per mailbox
5 mailboxes, E-Warmup Basic$49 a month150 a day
5 mailboxes, Warmup Inbox Basic$75 a month75 a day
5 mailboxes, MailReach$97.50 a monthUp to 100 a day
20 mailboxes, E-Warmup Growth$99 a month300 a day
20 mailboxes, Warmup Inbox Basic$300 a month75 a day
20 mailboxes, MailReach$390 a monthUp to 100 a day
  • One mailbox: start on a free plan and watch your placement tests.
  • Already on Instantly or Smartlead: keep sending there, and add a dedicated tool if your score looks fine but replies are low.
  • Klaviyo or Mailchimp sender: use Seed List Warmup, since there is no mailbox to connect.

Best Email Warmup Tools FAQ

What is the best email warmup tool?

It depends on your mailbox count and what you need to measure. For multi-mailbox senders, the best email warmup service shows placement results and monitors blacklists. On our criteria E-Warmup ranks first, and we make it.

What is the difference between pool-based and real-inbox warmup?

A pool uses accounts the vendor controls. A real-inbox network uses accounts in active use. Since Heatwave, ask who controls the inboxes and whether engagement is scripted.

Can I use automated email warmup with Klaviyo or Mailchimp?

Not through a mailbox connection, since those platforms do not expose one. Seed List Warmup works from a CSV upload instead, and credits never expire.

Conclusion

The best email warmup tool builds reputation honestly and shows you results you can act on. On method, visibility, control and price, E-Warmup comes out first, and the tables above let you check why.

Setup takes under 30 seconds, and no card is required.
